Many of us lead very busy lives. Our lives are often shocked and shaped by quiet suffering. It’s easy to forget the suffering endured by those who are impacted by natural disasters like the fire that has ravaged Gatlinburg, TN, in the last few days. It’s hard to imagine the impact of a fire that destroys all of one’s personal possessions. But it can’t be easy. Tonight, we are grieving with Gatlinburg. Please say a prayer for those who have been affected.

Aaron, thanks for letting me know. I have been told that from several sources. The last thing I would want to do is to mislead people. As you rightly note, the fire is not from Gatlinburg. But based on the accounts I’ve heard and the news reports, it provides a pretty good representation of the recent destruction of Gatlinburg, a city I love and have visited on several occasions.
